Mind on a different ride
Alot has been troubling me lately, the rides lately are more distracting than entertaining, one sure thing, the day is definitely better with a ride. With that sad my mind was especially wandering while I needed to be focusing. Well 40 minutes in I was descending top of iron goat and got a little off trail in a ravine and went over a huge rock and hit the eject button. I don't think I have ever done that night riding but anyway, it all happened in slow motion and put my hands out and my knee and fore arm took the brunt of the fall. Instantly began quite a blood bath, the pain subsided after a few seconds and annoyed but moved on after I regained my composure. My knee was bleeding quite badly and things hurt but I put myself on the pain train and was not stopping. Now a few days later, it's been unpleasant but nothing I can't deal with, nothing broke, nothing stitched, nothing infected and ready for another ride.
Bonuslap
My wife had to call out of work due to a Migraine so I threw in a bonus loop, just can't help myself......Found a furry crawler, was so close to picking it up!
Blackhawk flyover
The military frequently flies around the Hawes area and this one paid a special close fly over, I love the militray and it's machines, more flyovers please!
Gotta get it
Tuesdays are now in play, at 4:30 am however, I really want more than two rides a week so this is what I have to do for now, this was nice, a classic loop that started in the dark and pavement to take my mind off the warmup, went really well.
Rodizio prep
Looks like my magicshine battery is toast, really missing it! The goal was 30 miles, had to put the climb button on to get a solid workout in preparation for a less guilt free buffet of meats and food at our favorite restaurant to celebrate mine and Landons birthday! 5400 vert fit the bill!

Moving onwardish
Really struggling over here, trying to get reliefe with rides but they just aren't cutting it, but better tha not riding that's for sure. Not my normal heavy Saturday ride but good enough.
AZT Picket posting
Well the birthday came, turns out I am 39 now, I usually make plans to do something wild for a ride that day but that will have to be postponed for now so something different will fir the bill. I was dead tired from the last two weeks but had to push two more rides in to close out the week. I had the idea of riding picketpost, it has been so long and I wanted to not be too far from home but far enough for an adventure. I got cracking a bi later than usual and was enjoying the shade I was able to find. The views were spectacular, the trail was better than I remember, besides the catclaw that is, every bush shredded my legs. With fresh blood and hot heat it was trying to ruin my trip but I was not going to give. I reached the turnaround point 10 miles in and enjoyed the views. I checked out trailforks to maybe try a fork onto a forest road and hit arnett, it looked like it was worth a shot with what intel I could gather. I then manevuered around a catclaw and ran my toe into a rock, it seemed like it was very soft but it was enough to send a surge of pain for a few minutes. Riding down was nice, it was almost all DH, while it did not take all that much work to get there it was nice to dry the sweat. Then onto forest road, not forested obviously but the scenery was pretty and was at time rocky but all in all it was nice to enjoy some time without catclaw. I managed to kick up a huge rock and where did it hit, my already in pain toe, I screamed out in agony and then moved along, that time something didn't feel right, I was not expecting a toe nail when I was going to get to see it. I reached arnett and was getting excited for the canyon ahead. It did not disapoint in lush greenery and it was beautiful as I expected, I have never been that far in before. The rest was easy peasy, a really scenic and easy ride back to the car, that was a great loop.
AZ...... for now
Man....... it sucks being back in AZ I am not going to lie..... nothing to do but deal with it for now..... My homecoming ride was filled with alot of emotions to say the least. Also rode on a massively swollen paw, I went down hard on the flow rider and I thought I broke it. Had the whole drive home to wonder about life and if I was going to ride on it. I had enough time before LuAnn and Landon got to the airport so off I went to the trail on a few hours sleep and despiration to cope with the conditions. Ibuprofen did a good job numbing it but I was not prepared for the colors when I took my glove off, my goodness! Not exactly sure what I did but a week later it hurts more than it did the day after but I think it's fine.

Last CT ride at Case :(
With this being my last planned ride I was super bummed. I had to give the bike up Sunday and despite not leaving until Tuesday it was too complicated to get the bike back to my brother by then. So I opted for case. I awoke to a very wet morning, rain was expected at some point. I began my journey at birch mountian to get in more of that side. It began with a light for a lttle and obviously confusion, my memory is just too rusty and so many new trails. I headed for the tinti area and had a very very very good ride down tinti plus, pickle Rick, delores. It was such a relief to be doing more point and shoot and the trails going down the hill were smooth and such good flow and brand new. I then went up the side of the reservoir and then navigated to smookey and then the shaft. The shaft was my favorite, mostly cuase it requires the least amount of looking a my phone and was a veyr pleasant trail. Then it was some fern trail and then when in loam bushwacking which was sooo overgrown, remidned me of Hale but I was out of time and hit the powerline road for the car. I was feeling the depression of my riding in CT coming to an end especially considering how good the next 3 days of weather was but I tried to control myself.
