Mogollon Magic
Woke up at 2am, didn't wan to but did, waited for 3am and then off I went for Payson! Driving up I was surpried with a few flashes on ligthning, and sprinkles of rain. radar showed a few bands of light and heavy rain. Hoping it wasn't too heavy since the Rim goes to heck real quick with wet clay making riding impossible. When I got riding it was still dark, trail was damp and I was really really enjoying how vegatated it was. I started in See Canyon and went east. I hit a few slick spots and clay began to stick, luckily it was spotty and was able to make my climbs and it dried up as I went. When Light came in I was greeted by beeautiful old growth Pine forest. It was truly magicla out there, once the clibming was done, the trail was quite smooth and mellow which was a surprise. Once I reached my turnaround point it was a fun jaunt back to See canyon. First half was done now for the west side, the sun poked through and offered up a majestic view of the rim it was glorious. The next 5 miles were decent, a few nice spots, but nothing compared to the other side. Great ride!
Purdy
Slight chang ein temperature, I can feel that and love it! Some clouds aroud made for a very welcomed vibe too.
Roam
Was requested to stay neabry this Saturday so no Pine trees for me. Felt both tires were running quite low, could feel the added traction and cush, but as I got down Gidro the front tire has hissing air. With a few options I went for make it to the repair stand in Hawes and thank goodness for that! Put a plug in and filled both tires with air and off I went and finished the planned route. Found a tortoise on Iron Goat, my favorite!
Keepin on
It's been hard lately, but trying to keep on keepin on being positive and optimistic. Flat Iron is on fire!
Another Saguaro bites the dust
Quite a few downed Saguaros this year, they have a remarkable odor and an always impressed by their structure and rigidity, got a photo showing the core on a downed one on my ride.
Morning mellow
Found an old photo of my dad on my old bike from 2010 when I got my first rigid singlespeed, a raleigh xxix, a measely 500$!

Pine/Strawberry
It was a 3am alarm for Saturday, had to be home by 10:30 but that wasn't stopping me from getting in some PINE! On a roll here for my 3rd week in a row, this time I did the Pine loop clean. Got started in the dark, it was a few minutes in and while climbing I fell when I stalled my front wheel on a rock with too muhc weight forward and down I went over the bars at a painfully slow speed. I hit my palms on the fall and felt and heard a pop and pain immediately wurged into that palm. Which oddly enough was still hurting from the incident there couple months ago. I was not sure I could ride and did I just ruin my entire mission in the first mile? Well luckily it wa slow enogh down that I was able to ride comfortably most the time so I rode on. Then my light put itself into low power mode which is not much more than a cell phone light, another light failing long before it should..... With light starting the next 10 minutes were struggle with lighting but morning light slowly came in by time it was time to go downhill. The rest of the ride was peachy, was overcast so the vegatation wasnt shining as brightly but man it was great!
Comfy
Theres a slight change in the weather, I could ever so slightly cooler and less sweaty, sign of things to come and can't wait!
